C-LEAF in New York is an annual program of the Center for Law,
Economics & Finance
(C-LEAF). The program presents top scholars
affiliated with C-LEAF discussing innovative and practical ideas and
solutions to cutting-edge issues in the law.
This
year’s program, held June 3, will feature GW Law faculty and other
scholars affiliated with
C-LEAF, along with the 2010 Manuel
F. Cohen Memorial Lecture, delivered by Kenneth R. Feinberg, special
master for executive compensation at the U.S. Department of the
Treasury, as well as keynote speaker Damon Silvers, director of policy
and special counsel for the AFL-CIO.
The Manuel F. Cohen Memorial
Lecture
The Manuel F. Cohen Memorial
Lectureship was created by the friends and colleagues of Manny Cohen and
established at the Law School in 1979. This endowed lecture serves as a
living memorial to Cohen, a leader in the field of securities law, a
dedicated public servant, former chairman of the SEC, a legal scholar,
and a teacher at the Law School for nearly two decades.

The George Washington University is registered
with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as
a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry
of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the
acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
The George Washington University will submit applications to the state
bar associations for continuing legal education credits for the states
of Pennsylvania and New York. Since crediting is decided by the local
bar associations, no advance assurance can be given that credit will be
