Sorry! http://www.shetland-times.co.uk/st/internet/pics/Wills-Editorial.htm is a dead link. The Sheltie Times refurbished its Web page and dropped this old Editorial page a long time ago. The current version of the Times' home page is at the just indicated link. The new page does not provide any link to take you to the old Editorial page that featured the cartoon of Jno. Wills, let alone to the cartoon itself.

That is one of the problem with links. They break after a while. The only way to prevent the broken link problem is to reproduce a copy of the linked page, in disregard of 17 U.S.C. § 106(1) and archive it.

Question for students: Is it fair use to reproduce a copy of Web material no longer available at the location to which you might try to link to it? Is § 117 any help?
