Applications are invited for appointment as Assistant Professor/Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Law, tenable from September 1, 2004 or as soon as possible thereafter. The appointment will initially be made on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal. Information on the Department of Law can be found at http://www.hku.hk:8400/law/
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree in Law and a good postgraduate qualification in the legal field. The appointee should be able to teach at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the area of international trade and economic law, and should have proven research track record in this area. The appointee is also expected participate actively in Chinese law activities and/or the East Asian International Economic Law and Policy Programme in the Faculty, which involves research, conferences and seminars, as well as consultancy studies.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totally up to 15% of basic salary.
The appointment carries leave, and medical and dental benefits. The provision of housing benefits (where applicable) is subject to review.
