The list of silent auction winners is available here!

The Spring Auction is EJF's largest fundraising event of the year, and one of GW's most well-attended social events. The auction gives a large number of volunteers the opportunity to solicit donations from faculty and community sponsors, which our volunteer faculty auctioneers then sell to the highest bidder to raise money for summer public service grants. This year's auction will be on Thursday, April 2nd, 2009.

Getting Involved

Interested in helping out? The EJF Auction Board invites any students, faculty, and alumni who are interested in volunteering to contact us at gwejfauction@gmail.com for more information.

Donations make the auction possible! If interested in donating, please fill out the donation form and mail it to the address therein.

Auction Facts

  • The EJF Auction is a student-run event, with a history of over 10 years of providing grants to students working in public interest summer positions. EJF grant recipients work in the D.C community and throughout the country, serving a variety of public service organizations.
  • The event is one of the largest of the law school's campus, drawing over 1000 attendees, including students, faculty, and administrators.
  • In recent years, the auction has raised about $30,000.
  • Last year, proceeds from the Auction allowed EJF to provide 6 grants of $4500.
  • The Auction is supported entirely by donations from the local and law school communities.
  • Law school professors demonstrate their powers of persuasion and comedic talent as our Auctioneers at the event.
  • Each year, the Auction continues to grow, which means that each year, GW students can make an even greater contribution to their communities through the public interest work the auction funds. With your help, this will be an even greater success!
