THE GEORGE WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY LAW SCHOOL
  Hispanic Law Students Association

Welcome

Welcome to The George Washington University Law School's Hispanic Law Students Association's website.

HLSA provides professional, educational and social support to Hispanic and other students at the
Law School while fostering an appreciation for Hispanic language and culture. HLSA also encourages its members to become involved in public interest organizations in the D.C. area, particularly the D.C. Law Students in Court program and Ayuda. HLSA activities have included hosting speakers to discuss career and legal topics, and holding meetings to provide support and assistance to first-year students with summer job searches, moot court competitions, and final examinations. HLSA also sponsors several social events each year. All students are welcome to participate in HLSA, especially those who have an interest in Latin American cultures or the Spanish language.

With this site, our aim is to provide a jumping off point for students who are interested in HLSA and in exploring the issues involving Latinos and the law. Please forward your comments, suggestions, and queries to the webmaster. Thank you.
